Things have been really busy in the past week and it has been non stop all the time. I have got lots of people offering to help me build my house which has been really great and everyone’s been so awesome. The shack team which has been named first time building contractors – we hope it don’t fall down. Aptly named by Crispin because he, chiqwonde and Aubrey have never laid a brick in there lives. . The team consists of
Me – project manager and bricklayer
Shay – assistant project manager and bricklayer
Breah – volunteer, he is a professional builder
Chiqwonde – the camps cleaner and gardener is helping out with the building for the past few weeks he’s slowly learning how to build a house
Aubrey – doesn’t trust himself with a trowel so he in charge of mixing mortar and fetching bricks
Crispin – occasional helps brick lay when he isn’t mixing mortar
The jack of all trades – this man I met last year when he was doing the electric for shays house, ...

Wednesday 6th august
I finished my meetings on Wednesday morning and had the rest of the day to myself, met with nelson and timo briefly then went round coconut and happy Georges house. Afterwards I went shopping round the market and local shops. I also managed to have a great meal and a few drinks at a restaurant which was brilliant first real food I’ve had in weeks.
Thursday 7th august
Return back to work
Returned back to Makwawa this morning. The amazing thing was a managed to get on the right bus well the bus heading in the right direction whether it was the right one is yet to be decided. We were crammed in like sardines again, and 1 hour into the journey the bus broke down a couple of kicks from the bus conductor and some fiddling and it was working again, so to those who tell me off when my computer breaks and I kick it to make it work if it works on bus it’ll work on a computer. ...

the past few days have been pretty uneventful
just the usual business at the campsite, have been busy designing the adverts to put in the best of malawi brochure that will be sent out to england and america which should generate alot of business for the campsite.
i am currently in lilongwue, arrived a few hours ago about 4 hours later than i expected, still not used to malawian transport they crammed as many people as possible into this minibus and we sat like sardines for 7 hours they of course where used to it but i was aching like hell after 3. we stopped for a toilet break at one point because the kids needed to go and because no one could move the parents passed the kids sort of crowd surfing style down the bus to the bus conductorhe carriewd them off i think he had 2 on his hips 2 slung over his shoulder and one was walking he threw each to a bush and when they were down chucked them back on the bus and the were passed to the relavent parent, someone tried to pass it to me at one ...
