yes first of i must apologise for the delay in updating my blog i have been working non stop since my last entry on the 8th december i left down to makwawa from lilongwe with some guys who wanted to come and stay at the campsite the bus journey was diastrous it took forever for the bus to leave and when it finally did 5 mins into the journey the exhaust pipe fell off then about an hour into the journey we were pulled off the road because they were closing it so the president passes through and entire road okay this doesnt such a big deal in england but seeing as its the only road in malawi that goes from lilongwe to zomba a 4 hour drive then yeah it is a big deal and we had to wait for an hour for hiks excelency to grace us with his presence and pass through though he did have his hand out the window waving but he just looked really bored. anyway finally got back on the road and then guess what the exhaust pipe fell off again waited until they had secured it finally and off we headed again so we managed ... so i headed up to lilongwe again on wednesday with melvis who is going to visit her sister, im staying at mabuya camp again same place that the rabid dog bit me.
and as i walked in mikey was standing a reception and he just laughed at me and said did you get an injection in the arse i was like yeah jeers mikey.
apparently they had been trying to contact me for days and couldnt they even phoned the head of scouting in england who told them to phone back the next day so they did and he said oh try again in a few days.
they were like yeah okay we could do that but by then he'l be dead so we'd rather you try and help us now. but he was a bit usless apparently and when they thought it was hopeless tom was staring at the notice board and saw me advert for the scout campsite and just shouted
' SCOUTS......F****ING SCOUTS WE GOT HIM'
so now i am known as the scout in fact when the introduce me to people they just say this is 'the' scout or the scout man but im just glad ... (more)

Friday 7th November
We set off from zomba to cape maclear on the axa bus nice and cheap and quick we arrived at monkey bay around 1.30 – 2 finding that no transport was around to go to cape maclear unless your hired a taxi, we were tired, hungry and I wanted a beer so we decided to just get a taxi from monkey bay to cape ma clear along one of the worst rounds I’ve ever been down it’s the only one in and out of cape maclear one of the biggest tourist attractions in Malawi and they have no transport in place to take people from monkey bay to cape maclear. Anyway finally arrived at cape maclear booked into fat monkeys, at finally had some lunch and a nice cold beer. After that we went into the lake and did some swimming well I did some swimming melvis just sort of flopped around in the water. After swimming we lay around on the beech and drank beer after a long day we headed to bed.
