(( still alive ))

i have survived a few more days

cathy met me at the hotel on wedesday then we waited for steve to pick up my luggage we then transfered it to the budget lodge as i will be staying in lilongwue a few more days. me and nelson wandered around lilongwue and i bought a sim card for my phone and i could either get my phone unlocked so it would work for 6,000 kwacha or buy a new phone of less quality for 2,400 kwacha so i bought i new phone as i dont think i will be requiring bluetooth and the like out in makwawa i meant to bring the number for my phone with me to the internet cafe but of course i forgot but i havent done to badly so far i havent lost anything severe forgot to but my shoes on now and then but apart from that nothing serious

and i would like to mention that my inflamed tonsil have cleared up and my suggested remedy is not salt water as many tried to make me do such as debbie (angry face) but two bottles of kuche kuche which is the local beer this is what cured my tonsils so obviously the medical proffesion dont drink kuche kuche it cures all ailments (ish)

in the evning we went to nelson and steves scout group and met up with the american scouts who raised money to build a tuck shop and solar heaters of course they didnt build it themselfs like we did but oh well and one of leaders asked me if i was named after the Scout Association of Malawi (S.A.M) either he thought i was local or he was just plain stupid because he was being serious. we played games with the malawians and it was good fun i thn retired to my room and read a book blah blah blah sorry i was boring even myself then

the next day we went to a get together at the american embassy and it was boring good food and drink but other then that they sang the american national anthem and blabbed on about how america will help malawi and i just got bored then one american asked if i was a malawian scout without the intention to sound racial last time i looked in the mirror i was white. i dont like amricans i told one i was from leicester and they went oh yes cheese i was like what?? and the said red leicester cheese (leicester not pronounced properly) i humoured them for a bit. we then went to the bank to withdraw some of the money required to repair the truck and then me and timo sat eating popcorn and talking about different prices of things in malawi and the UK and he was suprised to learn that UK and england were different places. so now i shall go get something to eat and relax before i head to zomba tommorrow.

oh also if anyone can organise a fund raising event i would like to raise some money to build myself a house to live in. it shouldnt cost a vast amount.

bye for now sam

p.s if anyone can pass this on to people because i forgot to write peoples email adresses down because i am clever
