The reason for the delay in updates on here was because of no electricity, it has been a real problem here the past month we pretty much went for 2 weeks without electricity maybe having it no and then for a few minutes then it would go again, but it seems to be sorting itself.
Been busy organizing the finishing of the tuck shop and budgeting for the expedition coming in July for some of their projects its keeping me busy but that’s fine with me,
One thing I would like to take a moment to ask you to pay your respects because unfortunately last night we lost my toilet.
It’s a deep pit latrine with concrete on the top and 3 holes for doing your business and I had built a shelter around one of the holes to prevent the monkeys from seeing my schlong when I was taking a dump, I was in my little kitchen and all of a sudden there was this huge KABOOOOOM and I looked over and was like oh toilets disappeared.
So I investigated in the morning and looks like it had just split and the entire concrete floor had caved into the pit taking the walls with it.
When I told shy he was just like oh, er… sorry. like it was no big deal, obviously buildings tend to collapse with some regularity in Malawi especially in rainy season.
One of the churches collapsed last month, that might have something to do with it having no foundations, they hired these builders and they spent loads of money of the structure and having a good roof and the décor inside, but they out no foundations down so this year during rainy season half the thing just slid away.
We have also been holding interviews for a new night watchman as we had to unfortunately let ours go (fire his ass) because he was useless. So we finally decided on the guy that gave me a bow and saluted me when he entered the office, I thought that was pretty cool I mean, I think he may be slightly off his rocker but he seems loyal and dedicated to being a watchman as he has had many jobs as one all with good references and like I said he actually bowed.
hi sam cubs are asking when your comming back i said it looked unlikley but maybe a visit would be on the cards at some point.i thought we would all come out on an expences paid trip what do you think?hope you are well and happy
