anyone ever met jake?jake was awesome
jake was our dog
my grandpa used to live near a RSPCA centre when our old dog died we went to go and have a look round but werent going to rush getting another dog
well jake soon changed that the moment we saw him we knew we couldnt leave him behind it was love at first sight for us he saty there and lifted his paw up against the side of the cage and my heart just melted
he fit into the family straight away albeit with a few mishaps along the way we got on great
he wasnt just a dog he was a best friend and a companion more loyal than anything i have ever met
his scars ran deep
i feel he never fully recovered from whatever torment he had been put through previosuly
but we gave him a good home
he was the ever listening ear when you felt you had no one else
a shoulder to cry on when no body was there
a listener who wouldnt pass judgment
no matter your mood no matter where he was ever loyal always a wag for anyone
even though his stomach sometimes was the decider on whether you were his friend or not he loved everyone with the enthusiasm and wholeheartedness of a dog never hurt
i loved him
and sayuing goodbye when i left was the hardest thing ever
i thought it wouldnt be the last night though i always thought he had years left on him
i thought we would run again together through the woods in bradgate park
i never thought it would be a final goodbye
you never realise how much a pet can topuch your heart or affect your life how much you miss them when they are gone
RIP jake
one hell of an awesome dog even if your volume control was permanently stuck on mega decibel levels and your liked to bark at every single opportune moment and had a tendency to cause untold havoc and destruction
i loved you to bits
and alway will
