(( bloody monkeys ))

11 July 08 - 15:47

hung my washing up on the line the other day now most people get confused when you put a pair of socks in the wash then when you come to put them away theres only one odd sock nobody knows where it goes. well i know where my odd sock went bloody monkeys ran off with it didnt they.

settling in ok and starting to adjust to the malawian way of life we have been doing maintenance work on the guest house and pricing up th costs of things that we need for differen projects. i have been teacvhing shay and the rest of hius family how to use the computer and have been working on the advertising for the campsite.

today we have people arriving on site for the basic scout leader training which is happening over the weekend and i will be involved with that which should be quite interesting. i have been teaching chrispin lots of new card games and he keeps challenging me to arm wrestling matches which i continously beat him at haha he will learn.

the children the other night when i was walking back from songani dared to shake my hand and they all ran about 20 of them up to makwawa each one in turn shaking my hand it made the journey alot longer but was very amsusing and shay thought so too and one was kept a running commentary in chichewa apparently about what i was doing.

i walked past a netball match in songani the other day and one girl noticed me and stared at me at the same time a player passed the ball to her and hit her square in the face but apparently the referee was sympathetic as a white man had just walked past and the game was allowed to carryon afer i had finished walking past.

right thats all for now

bye sam
